LIFE AT WESLEY CHAPEL

Our Ministries

At Wesley Chapel, ministry is not just something we do—it is how we live out our faith together. We believe God calls us to be a community where neighbors find their place in God’s family. Our life together is shaped by four core commitments: relationships, hospitality, service, and worship.

Relationships

We believe faith grows through relationships. At Wesley Chapel, we seek to know one another, encourage one another, and make space for people to belong.

Coffee and Conversation

Sundays at 9:30am
All are welcome to join us in the Rose Room before worship for coffee, tea, hot cocoa, conversation, and a brief devotion. This is a relaxed time to connect with others and begin Sunday morning together.

Breakfast Club

First Sunday of the Month at 8:00am
On the first Sunday of each month, all are invited to gather at the Richfield Bojangles for prayer, Scripture, and fellowship.

Hospitality

Hospitality is one of the ways we share the love of Christ. We want every person who comes through our doors to feel welcomed, seen, and valued.

Whether you are visiting for the first time, returning after time away, or looking for a church family, there is a place for you here. Our hospitality ministries help create spaces of welcome on Sunday mornings, at special events, and throughout the life of the church.

Some of the ways we practice hospitality include welcoming guests, sharing fellowship before worship, opening our building for ministry and community use, and offering care during important seasons in people’s lives.

Service

We believe faith becomes visible in love. Wesley Chapel seeks to serve our neighbors locally and beyond through practical acts of compassion, generosity, and care.

Community Service Ministries include:

  • Backpack Buddies for two local schools

  • Pfeiffer University Move-In Day support

  • Second Blessing Saturday

  • UMCOR and World Communion Sunday special offerings

  • Good Neighbor Food Pantries

  • Mobile Food Pantries

  • Feeding local teachers

Congregational Care Ministries include:

  • Care bags for members who are homebound or live in residential facilities

  • Birthday cards

  • Bereavement care

  • Yard clean-up and home repair for those who are unable

Through these ministries, we seek to care for our church family and respond to the needs of our wider community.

Worship

Worship is at the heart of our life together. Each Sunday, we gather to praise God, hear Scripture, pray together, nurture our discipleship, and be sent back into the world in love and service.

Sanctuary Worship

Sundays at 10:00am
Our Sunday worship service is traditional in style with some contemporary elements. We share Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month. We also love to include the gifts of our members in worship through music, reading, prayer, testimony, and other forms of leadership.

Special Worship Services include:

  • 5th Sunday Special Music

  • Youth Sunday

  • Ash Wednesday, Holy Week, and Easter Sunrise

  • Bright/Holy Humor Sunday

  • Back to School Sunday

  • Homecoming during Pfeiffer Homecoming Weekend

  • Blessing of the Animals on the first Sunday in October

  • All Saints Sunday on the first Sunday in November

  • Hanging of the Greens around Thanksgiving
